Objects – tools – construction machines
Depending on the application, an active battery tracker or BLE beacons are used in small machines, devices, trailers, containers, etc.
Your advantages of MTrack object and tool tracking
Locate objects, devices, small machines, etc. that cannot be equipped with a GPS transmitter (low-cost solution).
Benefit from seamless data transmission and logging
Use the water-, shock-, dirt- as well as temperature-resistant BLE beacons on selected objects
Uncomplicated wireless installation and long battery life
Recognise operating time and operating hours thanks to the movement data
Sensitive transports can be monitored by means of temperature data and humidity measurement
Types of object location
MTrack integrates two different types of object location, depending on the application:
- Battery tracker
- BLE-beacons
Tracking with BLE Beacons
Not every object can be equipped with a GPS transmitter. Therefore, there are small radio transmitters, so-called BLE Beacons, which are attached to small machines, devices and tools and are received by compatible tracking devices. Such a system is the MTrack GPS telematics hardware, which can be enabled to receive BLE beacons. These transmitters then receive the data of the objects equipped with BLE Beacons from the surrounding area. This enables seamless data transmission and data logging.

BLE Beacons
BLE is the abbreviation for Bluetooth Low Energy and describes the wireless technology that can be used to network devices in the immediate vicinity. Compared to the usual Bluetooth, BLE requires less power and is therefore more energy and cost efficient.
Benefit from a wide range of advantages
- Very small
- Long life span
- Water resistant
- Shock resistant
- Dirt resistant
- Temperature resistant
- Wireless mounting
- Long battery life
- Low acquisition costs
- Acquisition and evaluation in the MTrack software
Benefit from a wide range of advantages
Apart from the charge state of the internal battery, BLE beacons can transmit the following data depending on the respective design:
- Motion data for the detection of operating time and operating hours
- Temperature data for cooling monitoring
- Humidity for food transportation
- Tilt angle to check fragile objects
- Data from light sensors for monitoring the opening of containers
- Data from magnetic sensors for monitoring the opening or closing of doors
Where can BLE beacons be used?
The use is versatile and ranges from tools to equipment to small machines, containers with supplies and waste containers. BLE beacons are used for localisation, monitoring, documentation, inventory, deployment planning and triggering alarms. The systematic analyses are helpful for controlling.
