How does driver and passenger recognition work with MTrack?

Driver

 

  • Each driver receives an RFID card or an iButton
  • An electronic reader is installed in the vehicle, which detects the driver.
  • The driver starts the vehicle’s ignition and reads the RFID card or the iButton. If driver identification is not carried out, either a loud signal tone sounds an alarm or the vehicle (car, excavator, tractor, roller, etc.) is blocked by a built-in immobiliser.
  • The driver indicates whether the journey is for business or private purposes.
  • Automated recording of the trip, working times and driving behaviour begins.

Passenger

 

  • As soon as a passenger gets into the vehicle, a signal is sent to a receiver in the vehicle using BTLE (Bluetooth Low Energy).
  • The employee is automatically logged on and off when boarding and exiting the vehicle. All he has to do is carry a chip for this function.

Passenger detection enables the detection of all persons in the vehicle. A practical feature is that the working time of all passengers is automatically recorded for time accounting in MTrack Time. This eliminates the tedious task of writing timesheets and turns the vehicle into a mobile time clock, both for the driver and the co-driver.
