Active tracking with independent data acquisition
With active tracking, waterproof GPS hardware with an integrated SIM card is fitted to the trailer, which records data on the towing vehicle completely independently. The main advantage of this trailer tracking system is that the trailer or semi-trailer is visible on the dashboard and records data even if it is being towed by an external company that does not have MTrack hardware installed in the vehicle. The quick and easy installation guarantees a smooth implementation.
Wireless detection
Trailer detection via existing MTrack hardware in the vehicle is possible by connecting a BTLE receiver. The wireless waterproof BTLE transmitter is attached to the trailer (screwed, riveted or glued). As soon as the sensor is in the vicinity of the vehicle, the vehicle recognises the transmitter and MTrack indicates that the trailer is connected to the vehicle. No additional SIM card is required for this function.
